Practical information

Airport buses

Buses leave from Landvetter Airport every 15 minutes and takes approximately 25 minutes to the city centre. A one-way ticket costs 80 SEK, and a return ticket 150 SEK.

Buses from Gothenburg City Airport to the city centre are coordinated with the arrival of international flights. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes, and the fare is 60 SEK for a one-way ticket and 110 SEK for a return ticket.

Please note that cash payment is not accepted on the airport buses. Pay using any major credit card or buy your ticket in advance on the internet. For more information, visit www.flygbussarna.se.
 

Airport taxi

A taxi from Landvetter Airport to the city centre costs approximately 390 SEK. We recommend the following carriers: Taxi Göteborg, VIP Taxi and Taxi Kurir. Ask for a fixed price.
 

Badges

Each participant will receive a name badge upon registration. For security reasons, participants are requested to wear their badge during all conference activities and social events.
 

Banks

Banks are open between 9 A.M. and 3 P.M. on weekdays. Some banks in central Gothenburg are open between 9 A.M. and 5 P.M..
 

Climate

The month of June in Gothenburg is typically pleasant with average high temperatures of 19 °C (66 °F) and average lows of 12 °C (53 °F). For current weather forecast, visit www.yr.no.
 

Currency

The official currency is Swedish Krona (SEK). Current exchange rates on 9 June, 2010:

Language

The official language of the conference is English.
 

Meals

Conference dinner, coffee/tea at the venue, light meal at the welcoming reception, and wine and snacks at the poster session are included in the conference fee. Lunches are not included.
 

On-site registration

On-site registration will start on the morning of 15 June, 2010. The registration desk and conference secretariat will be located at the conference venue and the secretariat will be open during conference hours.
 

Programme changes

Last-minute changes in the programme due to external or unforeseen circumstances may occur. These changes will be announced on-site at the registration desk, and, if possible, on the conference website.
 

Public transportation

Gothenburg has an extensive public transportation system operated by trams, buses and ferries. For more details on how to get about in the city, click here.
 

Social events

All social events are included in the conference fee. However, in order to receive tickets, participants must indicate when registering whether or not they plan to take part in the following events:

  • 15 June: Welcome reception (hosted by the City of Gothenburg and the Region of Västra Götaland; a light meal will be served)

  • 16 June: Conference dinner

     

Travel to Gotheburg

Gothenburg is easily accessible for the international traveller. Its airports are served by about 50 airlines, and there are direct flights to most major European cities. Major destinations outside Europe are typically accessed by one-stop flights via  large airport hubs, such as Amsterdam, London, Paris, Frankfurt and Copenhagen. Venue

The conference will take place at the School of Business, Economics and Law, University of Gothenburg. Street address: Vasagatan 1. It is located right in the centre of the city, which means that many hotels, restaurants, shops and attractions are within walking distance. See map here.
